Former Cardinals coach sells Arcadia home for $3.5M

Ken Whisenhunt, a former head coach who led the Arizona Cardinals to the Super Bowl in 2009, sold a Phoenix home with a wet bar, built-in barbecue and fire pit.

Billie and Kathryn Adams paid cash for an 8,631-square-foot mansion with five bedrooms and seven bathrooms. The house, with a bubbling fountain and circular driveway, features reclaimed beams from an Amish barn in Pennsylvan­ia, hand-carved limestone fireplaces, terra cotta tiles from Portugal and a butler’s pantry. Kenneth and Michele Moore sold the property.

Firas Jatou and Susan Nessan purchased an 8,266-square-foot Paradise Valley house. Jatou is a director at the San Jose-based software firm Nvidia. The house, with five bedrooms and six bathrooms, has multiple marble fireplaces, a wet bar, gym, outdoor kitchen, fire pit, guest house and a six-car garage. An LLC named 1981 led by Robert Khoshaba, CEO at Patio Design Group, was the seller.

Beau Granger purchased a 4,206-square-foot house on the Phoenix side of the Arcadia neighborho­od. He is the founder of Kirkland, Washington-based Imagine Homes. The house has four bedrooms and 51⁄2 bathrooms. The listing didn’t include additional informatio­n. William and Brittany Carson were the sellers.

An Idaho LLC called La Familia Padeiro Real Estate Investment­s paid cash for a 5,384-square-foot Paradise Valley house with four bedrooms and 4 ⁄2

1 bathrooms. The house, at the base of Mummy Mountain, has six fireplaces, an 800-bottle wine closet, solar panels, a bocce ball court and a fountain with a fire feature. Ronald and Lynn Duff sold the house.

Former Arizona Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt sold a 3,968-square-foot house in the Phoenix side of Arcadia, according to the Joffe Group, which had the listing. Whisenhunt spent six seasons with the Cardinals and lead them to their only Super Bowl appearance in 2009’s game, won by the Pittsburgh Steelers 27-23. Constance Nelson purchased the house with five bedrooms, 41⁄2 bathrooms, a wet bar, quartz countertop­s, retractabl­e doors, a fire pit and a built-in barbecue.

“The buyers loved the floor plan, which is very family-friendly with plenty of privacy for kids and adults,” said Robert Joffe of The Joffe Group. “The unobstruct­ed views of Camelback Mountain are amazing, and the lush lot is fantastic.”

A Delaware LLC called PV Burton is listed as the seller on the property records.
