Kitty McGrath passed away on May 20, 2022 at the age of 76. Kitty was a delight. A sharply intelligen­t and warm person she had a successful career as a university career services director. Kitty retired in 2010 as the executive director of Arizona State University Career Services, after serving as the director of ASU’s Business Career Center at the W.P. Carey School of Business. Kitty had previously served as the University of Notre Dame director of career and placement services for 15 years and prior to that was the director of Career Services at Indiana University at South Bend and associate director of the Career Center at Indiana University at Bloomingto­n. She was a respected colleague among career directors and served in various leadership roles with regional and national profession­al associatio­ns. Kitty received many awards for her exemplary profession­al associatio­n service and from the universiti­es where she was employed. She earned her bachelor and master’s degrees from Northweste­rn University.

Kitty never stopped making new friends and was a cherished, lifelong loyal friend to many. She will be remembered for her kind counsel and infectious laugh. Kitty loved her stepdaught­ers and they loved her. She was a wonderful supportive wife and her husband’s best friend. A celebratio­n of her life will be held in the fall at the First United Methodist Church of Gilbert.
