PHOENIX - Dale Gene Leeper, born on June 7, 1933, in Adair County, Iowa, passed away on April 5, 2024, in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a beloved father to his sons Tim, Dave and Mark.

Dale served 4 years in the Air Force after graduating from Richland High School in Iowa.

Dale’s life was marked by hard work. In his early career he worked in auto sales later at the Paradise Valley School District in Phoenix where he served as maintenanc­e superinten­dent until retirement. His commitment to his work and the community left an indelible mark on those around him.

In retirement Dale found solace and joy in camping and fishing The peace he found outdoors brought him immeasurab­le happiness during this chapter of his life.

While no formal services are planned for Dale’s passing, it is clear that the impact he had on those around him will be felt long after his departure from this world. His ashes will be spread at one of his favorite camping spots during a private family celebratio­n of life.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Diamondbac­k Nursing Facility and Memory Care along with his hospice nurse Amanda and Kim VP coordinato­r both from Savior Hospice for the love and care they provided Dale during his final days. Their compassion made all the difference during this difficult time.

Dale Gene Leeper leaves behind a legacy of hard work, kindness and love for nature that will continue to inspire all who knew him. May he rest in peace knowing that he touched so many lives with his warmth.
