Take MARTA, which will open at 5 a.m. Thursday. The start-line station is Lenox Square. The finish-line station is Midtown or Art Center. There is no parking available at Lenox Square. Most roads near Lenox Square will be closed at 5:30 a.m. Thursday.

Race number pickup: If you didn’t receive your race number in the mail, it can be picked up at the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo at the Georgia World Congress Center 10 a.m.-7 p.m. today. The expo is free. To receive your number, you need to bring a copy of your race-number confirmati­on and a form of ID. A third party can pick up your number using that informatio­n.

Safety guidelines:

There will be an increased lawenforce­ment presence and an increased number of restricted areas for this year’s race. Runners and spectators are being asked to leave backpacks or unnecessar­y items at home. Other items that aren’t allowed on the course include any wheeled conveyance (including baby strollers, inline skates, skateboard­s, bicycles, skateboard­s and scooters), iPods or MP3 players. If you see something suspicious, call 911 or alert a local official.
