You can find former President Carter’s Sunday school schedule at the Maranatha Baptist Church’s website (www.mbcplains.org). It notes the Sundays when he’ll be teaching the class, which begins at 10 a.m. The church opens at 8:30 a.m., with an orientation beginning at 9. People arrive and line up well before 8:30 to get a seat. Many stay at a hotel in nearby Americus on Saturday night and arrive early Sunday. The church service follows at 11, and Carter is available for photos after that.
