County OK’s ornamental fencing on I-75 bridge

Massana Construction will be paid about $1.9 million to build the Interstate 75/Cumberland Boulevard Interchange Beautification/Bridgescape.

The Cobb County Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 Tuesday to approve this project that is within the Cumberland Community Improvement District.

Funding will come from the Georgia Department of Transportation at $800,000 and the Cumberland CID at $1.1 million.

Ornamental fencing on both sides of the Cumberland Boulevard Bridge will replace the existing chain-link fencing.
