From owner Louis Soon, chef Christy Stone and the folks who brought South Main Kitchen to Main Street in Alpharetta, Butcher & Brew officially opened for dinner on Monday. Affairs open in Alpharetta

Taste of Atlanta Tuesdays

Taste of Atlanta returns to Midtown’s Tech Square Oct. 21-23. In the meantime, the organizers of the food festival have come up with Taste of Atlanta Tuesdays, a series of weekly five-course paired tasting menus at four Atlanta restaurant­s, beginning with Colletta at Avalon on Sept. 13. $85 per dinner, tax and tip included. freshtix.com/ events/colletta.

Tiff’s Treats Midtown opening

Tiff’s Treats, the Texasbased company known for its baked fresh and delivered warm cookies, is opening a second Atlanta location in Midtown on Saturday. Tiff ’s recently opened its first location outside of Texas in Alpharetta. A third Atlanta opening is planned for Sandy Springs.
