Full field set for Travers Stakes

Belmont Stakes winner Creator faces Preakness victor Exaggerato­r, the favorite, in the 147th running of the Travers Stakes today at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The $1.25-million, 11/4-mile Grade I race for 3-year-olds has a full field of 14, including Gun Runner (third in the Kentucky Derby), Destin (Belmont runner-up), and Laoban (27-1 winner of the Jim Dandy).

“The 3-year-old championsh­ip on the line,” said Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, who will have two horses in the field, American Freedom and Arrogate.
