Full field set for Travers Stakes

Belmont Stakes winner Creator faces Preakness victor Exaggerator, the favorite, in the 147th running of the Travers Stakes today at Saratoga Race Course in Saratoga Springs, N.Y.

The $1.25-million, 11/4-mile Grade I race for 3-year-olds has a full field of 14, including Gun Runner (third in the Kentucky Derby), Destin (Belmont runner-up), and Laoban (27-1 winner of the Jim Dandy).

“The 3-year-old championship on the line,” said Hall of Fame trainer Bob Baffert, who will have two horses in the field, American Freedom and Arrogate.
