Yeah! Burger on North Highland received a 92/A on its follow-up inspection completed Monday. That was a considerable improvement on the failing score of 65 it received on Sept. 13.

Health officials reported “mold buildup in soda gun holster” at the bar and “fly activity” in the main kitchen.

According to the report, knives were stored in a “crack between meat and vegetable prep sinks.” Officials also reported finding raw meatballs stored in a grill pull out drawer at higher-than-acceptable temperatures.

A back door was seen propped open with a towel, and chemical cleaners were stored on a prep table with food products, the report said.

The Virginia-Highland location opened in 2010 after the first location opened earlier that year in West Midtown.

Out of the eight reports since 2011 listed on the Fulton County Public Health Inspection page, this is the only failed report for the Virginia-Highland location. All the items were listed as new violations.

A manager was fired following the Sept. 13 inspection and new violations included untreated rust on shelves, a minor leak and unsecured faucets.
