National Coffee Day on Thursday

Thursday is National Coffee Day. And those wonky numbers crunchers over at Wallet Hub studied the 100 largest cities to determine “the best local coffee scenes in America.”

Portland, Ore., and Seattle finished No.’s 1 and 2, which is about as startling as finding rain and moody “deep thinking” folks everywhere you turn in those places.

But Atlanta ranked an impressive No. 14 in the study, which analyzed 12 key metrics, ranging from “number of coffee shops, coffee houses and cafés per capita” to “average price of a coffee pack.”
