Open house to address comprehensive plan
Peachtree City residents are asked to drop in to City Hall between 6:30 and 8 p.m. to offer input on the draft revision of the city’s Comprehensive Plan. Attendees will be able to see the current plan’s elements and offer opinions and revisions regarding the city’s goals, policies, concerns, assets and vision. Staff from the city and the Atlanta Regional Commission will be on hand to answer questions and discuss the plan, which must be completed by June 2017.
Board of education makes appointments
Clayton County Public Schools’ board of education made the following appointments at its recent meeting: Alisha Albritten, assistant principal at Babb Middle School, named coordinator of performance management, and Sonja Bullock, assistant administrator of special education at Georgia Cyber Academy, named coordinator of exceptional education.
Additional board appointments this fall include: Paul Scott, teacher at Mundy’s Mill Middle School, named coordinator of health and physical education; Wakea Brown, coordinator of performance management, named principal of Tara Elementary School; David Smith, formerly director of finance with the city of Fairburn, named director of business services; Tara Davison, site facilitator at Morrow High School, named assistant principal at Lovejoy High School; Gregory Kirkland, coordinator of health and physical education, named assistant principal at Lovejoy High School.
