JAMAL ANDERSON INCIDENT GETS HIM BANNED FROM STORE

Clerk at Gwinnett store said former star exposed self.

Former Atlanta Falcons star running back Jamal Anderson has been banned from a QuikTrip store in Gwinnett County after allegedly exposing himself and appearing intoxicated in Suwanee early Wednesday, police said.

Shortly after 2 a.m., police answered a 911 call by a clerk at the QuikTrip at Peachtree Industrial Boulevard and McGinnis Ferry Road, Suwanee police Capt. Shane Edmisten said.

The clerk told police that Anderson “exposed himself ” in the store, Edmisten said. The responding officers also said Anderson, 44, was “apparently intoxicated.”

Anderson was not arrested, Edmisten said, because the clerk, who was the only other person in the store, did not want to prosecute. Police issued Anderson a warning for criminal trespass, which means that Anderson will be arrested if he returns to that QuikTrip location.

Anderson did not have a vehicle at the location, Edmisten said. Police summoned an Uber to take Anderson home.

Anderson was arrested in August in Forsyth County, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported. He was charged with a suspended license and a move-over violation, sheriff ’s spokesman Epifanio Rodriguez said. Anderson posted a $1,780.50 bond and was released from jail.

He also has previous DUI arrests from Hall and Gwinnett counties.

Anderson was the offensive star of the Falcons’ 1998 Super Bowl team and was popular for his “Dirty Bird” touchdown dance.
