Linton’s in the Garden now Longleaf
Linton’s in the Garden, the restaurant at the Atlanta Botanical Garden from James Beard Award-winning Atlanta chef/restaurateur Linton Hopkins, has been relaunched as Longleaf. Executive chef Jason Paolini “will take the lead as the culinary creative force,” and Hopkins “will remain on board in the key role of chef adviser.” Winter hours are 11 a.m.-5 p.m. TuesdaysSundays. Yumbii taqueria in South Buckhead
Yumbii, known as Atlanta’s first food truck, has opened its first brick-and-mortar restaurant, also known as Yumbii, in South Buckhead, serving lunch and dinner with counter and dine-in service daily. Craft Izakaya reopening as Makimono
Craft Izakaya, which opened as a full-service bar and restaurant in Krog Street Market in 2014, will close after service on Jan. 15 and reopen sometime later in the week as Makimono, a counter-service sushi bar. Chef Jey Oh told Eater Atlanta that he will employ two machines to turn out “really big” sushi rolls. The Pinewood opens new expansion
The Pinewood, a Decatur cocktail and dining destination, opened its new lounge space last week. What’s more, it will celebrate its fifth anniversary on Jan. 17 with $5 burgers and $5 old fashioneds, plus music 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Also new to the Pinewood is chef de cuisine Andrew “Andy” Jackson, a Georgia native, who will offer “an inventive twist on the Pinewood’s locally sourced menu.” 254 W.
