Man accused of flashing women on KSU campus

Public indecency charges filed after 4 incidents in 2016.

After months of investigating, police have arrested a man accused of flashing and masturbating in front of multiple women on the Kennesaw State University campus.

Gary Jia Lee was booked into Cobb County jail Tuesday on multiple public indecency charges, according to jail records.

An arrest warrant details four incidents from August to December.

The first incident was Aug. 6 when a woman driving by on a golf cart saw Lee on his apartment balcony (on Greenhouse Patio Drive) “wearing only a sock over his penis while gyrating his hips with his arms in the air,” the warrant said.

She and the other female victims identified Lee from a photo line-up.

In another incident, on Oct. 15, a woman heading back to her apartment got to the top of the stairs when she saw her neighbor Lee “completely nude with his arms wide open,” according to a warrant.

He was looking directly at her.

On Nov. 2, a woman on the KSU campus saw a silver fourdoor vehicle stop on Marietta Drive inside the Austin Residential Complex by a crosswalk. She thought the driver was lost, so she went over to give directions.

She told investigators that a partially nude Lee rolled down his window and was masturbating.

The final incident mentioned in the warrant occurred on Nov. 30.

This time, Lee stopped his car on Idlewood Avenue at the crosswalk between the KSU Place Clubhouse and Building D.

The warrant said Lee waved the victim over to his vehicle. Once there, he pulled out his genitals and started masturbating while smiling at her.

Lee was arrested and released the same day on a bond of $5,720.

Attorney Christopher B. Cahill, who said he is representing Lee on the multiple public indecency charges, emailed the AJC on Friday.

“Mr. Lee maintains his innocence and we are looking forward to resolving the case in his favor,” Cahill wrote.
