Craft Izakaya reopened as Makimono
Craft Izakaya, which opened as a full-service bar and restaurant in Krog Street Market in 2014, has reopened as Makimono, a counter service sushi bar serving lunch and dinner daily. “Our goal with opening Makimono was to provide KSM with another fast-casual dining option featuring quality sushi and bowls at affordable prices, day and night,” said executive chef Jey Oh. 99 Krog St. N.E., Atlanta. 470-355-9556, krogstreetmarket.com.
Revolution Doughnuts Inman Park
After several delays, Decatur favorite Revolution Doughnuts & Coffee has opened a second location in Inman Park. The original location on West College Avenue opened in 2012, and quickly became known for its large, handmade doughnuts created with organic flour and local ingredients in four styles — yeast, filled rounds, baked cake, cake — plus vegan and low-gluten offerings. 745 Edgewood Ave. N.E., Atlanta. revolutiondoughnuts.com.
Twain’s Vegan Sunday Supper
Twain’s chef Savannah Sasser has been adding more vegan options to the menu at the Decatur brewpub since last summer. Now, the growing popularity of those dishes has inspired Sasser to host a monthly Vegan Sunday Supper, beginning Feb. 26. The three-course dinner with amuse, tax and gratuity is $40 per person or $50 per person including beer pairings from brewer Mike Castagno. 211 E. Trinity Place, Decatur. 404-3730063, twains.net.
