Both the Braves and Falcons are moving forward with ticket sales for their new stadiums.

The Braves this week began sales of six-game ticket packages and set variable pricing for SunTrust Park, while the Falcons said they sold about 600 new personal seat licenses for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the two days following their Super Bowl loss.

Both stadiums open this year.

The Braves put the sixgame packages on sale Tuesday, offering them in five areas of the ballpark. Prices depend on seat location and also on the games selected.

Previously, only full-season and 27-game packages were being sold for the Braves’ first season in SunTrust Park.

The six-game packages are available in these areas: “diamond corner” (left field and right field corners in the lower level), “terrace corner” (left field and right field corners in the middle level), “home run porch” (beyond the outfield), “vista infield” (behind and between the dugouts in the upper deck) and “grandstand reserved” (upper rows of the upper deck down the right-field line).

Each seat has five prices, depending on the games selected. Games expected to be in high demand cost more. Games are classified as marquee (most expensive), premier, select, value and super value (least expensive).

The Braves used a similar system of variable pricing in recent years at Turner Field.

This season’s first two home games, April 14-15 (Friday and Saturday nights), are marquee games. The third home game April 16 (Sunday afternoon) is a select game, and the fourth home game April 17 (Monday night) is super value. All four games are against the San Diego Padres.

Here are examples of how prices for the same seat vary by game: A diamond corner seat is $47 for the April 14-15 games, $37 for April 16 and $25 for April 17. A grandstand reserved seat is $12 for the April 14-15 games, $9 for April 16 and $6 for April 17.

Buyers are allowed to choose a maximum of three Friday and Saturday games per six-game package.

The Braves plan to put single-game tickets on sale March 10.

Meanwhile, the Falcons said they sold 603 personal seat licenses for Mercedes-Benz Stadium in the 48 hours after stunningly relinquishing a 25-point Super Bowl lead.

The Falcons said 256 seat licenses were sold online from the end of the game Sunday night through the close of business Monday. The team said 347 seats were sold from the close of business Monday through Tuesday.

The total number of PSLs sold to date is 46,104, according to the Falcons — up from 32,702 at the start of the season and 41,102 as of Jan. 12.

The Falcons said Monday produced “the highest single-day online sales total recorded since seat sales began” and Tuesday was “one of the three highest sales days since the regular season ended Jan. 1.”

The Falcons said 76 percent of available seat licenses have been sold. The stadium will have 71,000 seats, but about 10,000 are excluded from the PSL inventory, such as those in suites and sponsorship deals or set aside for other business purposes.

“Fan passion for the Falcons has been amazing this season, and from what we’ve seen the last two days, the interest to see them play in a spectacular new stadium continues to be very strong,” Brett Jewkes, senior vice president and chief communications officer of Falcons parent company AMB Group, said in a statement.

The PSLs are one-time fees, ranging from $500 to $45,000, for the right to buy Falcons season tickets in Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Braves aren’t selling PSLs for SunTrust Park.
