8Arm expands and adds bar

8Arm, the Beltline/Ponce de Leon Avenue restaurant from chefs Nhan Le and the late Angus Brown (Octopus Bar; Lusca), has opened an outdoor bar and covered patio, launching its bar program and late-night menu, and adding seating to its adjoining coffee shop, which will now be separate from the full-service restaurant. Spice to Table closing Feb. 24

Spice to Table is closing after service on Feb. 24. Asha Gomez, the chef/owner of the Old Fourth Ward bakery cafe, made the announceme­nt to friends and colleagues last week, along with the news that she would be launching the DYAD Tea & Spice brand soon. Gomez closed her first Indian restaurant, Cardamom Hill, in July 2014, and opened Spice to Table in August 2014. Jai Ho Indian Kitchen & Bar

Jai Ho Indian Kitchen & Bar will replace Madre + Mason, the shuttered Lenox Park Latin American-Southern restaurant from Doria Roberts and Calavino Donati, according to Steve Josovitz of the Shumacher Group Inc., who handled the sale. The buyers are Anish Nair and partner Paul Nair of Savi Provisions food and beverage stores. The new restaurant “will be an upscale casual hip and cool Indian Fusion restaurant,” according to Josovitz. saviprovis­ions.com.

BeetleCat Coconut Pie Sundae

Chef Ford Fry of Ford Fry Restaurant­s has joined forces with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams to introduce the BeetleCat Coconut Pie Sundae. The ice cream creation was inspired by the popular coconut pie dessert at Fry’s Inman Park seafood restaurant, BeetleCat. The combo of Jeni’s Salty Caramel ice cream, salty caramel sauce, toasted flaked sweetened coconut, honey graham cereal and raw honey coconut whipped cream will be available at Jeni’s scoop shops nationwide Feb. 24-March 16. jenis.com.
