Muss & Turner’s in east Cobb

Muss & Turner’s East Cobb, which replaces Common Quarter, debuted this week with a soft opening, to be followed by grand opening festivities in early April. The original Muss & Turner’s opened in 2005 in Smyrna as a restaurant and deli billed as “a ‘come as you are’ neighborhood joint with no culinary boundaries.” Look for a similar chef-driven menu in east Cobb, with a flex-casual concept and a full liquor license, counter service at lunch and table service at dinner. 1205 Johnson Ferry Road, Suite 101, Marietta. 678-809-4040, mussandturners.com/eastcobb.

Jai Ho open in Lenox Park

Jai Ho Indian Kitchen & Bar is open in the former Madre + Mason space in Lenox Park near the Atlanta Beltline. Chef Anish Nair and partner Paul Nair of Savi Provisions food and beverage stores are behind the upscale restaurant. Look for street food-inspired snacks along with entree favorites like tandoori rack of lamb and chicken tikka masala. The beverage menu offers an extensive wine, craft beer and cocktail menu, and lunch service will launch in the coming months. 560 Dutch Valley Road N.E., Atlanta. 404-458-6888, jaihoatlanta.com.

Mitch Steele’s Atlanta project

Former Stone brewmaster Mitch Steele and beer industry veterans Carey Falcone and Bob Powers finally revealed the name of their new Atlanta project last week. New Realm Brewing Co. is set to occupy a 20,000-square-foot space at 820 Ralph McGill Blvd. near the Beltline and Two Urban Licks. In addition to a production brewery, the “state of the art” project will include a restaurant, rooftop bar, and outdoor beer garden.

Eat the Wild at Kimball House

It’s a “garden barbecue” Sunday at Kimball House in Decatur, with friends from Pine Street Market, Riverview Farms, Three Taverns Craft Brewery and KUDU Safari Braai, featuring lamb roasted on splay, whole fire-roasted chickens, grilled oysters, vegetable-stuffed suckling pigs, grilled sausages and vegetables. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Jason Fisher, sous chef at nearby No. 246, who is fighting a second battle with a very rare form of cancer. 2-6 p.m. Sunday. $40 at the door. 303 E. Howard Ave., Decatur. 404-378-3502, kimball-house.com.
