Q: The movie “The Bodyguard” I see is coming to a stage show. Who gets the credit for the music and songs? —Eddie Webster, Douglasville

A: The U.S. tour of the stage musical is scheduled to be at the Fox Theatre March 28-April 2. The new production of “The Bodyguard,” directed by Thea Sharrock, was adapted for the stage by Oscar winner Alexander Dinelaris.

The stage show uses some of the late Whitney Houston’s hits, including “I Will Always Love You” (written by Dolly Parton), “Queen of the Night” (written by Houston, L.A. Reid, Daryl Simmons and Kenneth Brian “Babyface” Edmonds) and “Saving All My Love” (written by Michael Masser and Gerry Goffin) from the 1992 film. Orchestrations and additional music are by Chris Egan.

The musical was in development before Houston’s death in February 2012, and it premiered in London later that year.
