Fish fry: To celebrate the Lenten season, a fish fry featuring fried and baked fish, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, crabcakes plus a variety of sides will be available from 5:30-8 p.m. April 7 at the auditorium of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. The meal will be $8-$11 for adults and $4$6 for children 5-12 years old. Seniors will receive a discount. Takeout will also be available. Open to all. Flea market: An assortment of items including furniture, electronics, clothing, art, collectibles, jewelry, appliances and more will be offered during a flea market, which will be held from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. April 7-8 at the United Methodist Children’s Home (UMCH). The event will also include a bake sale. Proceeds of the sale of donated items will help UMCH reach more children and families in crisis in communities across North Georgia. Free and open to all. Cue a concert: The North American premiere of “A Gospel Line,” a musical by Irish composer Gavin Byrne, will highlight the journey of Christian faith from creation to Resurrection at 8 p.m. April 7-8 at Catholic Shrine of the Immaculate Conception.
