Suspect in deadly Midtown shooting and stabbings accused of more violence in Fulton jail.

The man accused of stabbing two people and killing an Atlanta attorney continued his violent acts while behind bars, the Fulton County Sheriff ’s Office said Wednesday.

Raylon Lee Browning, 39, attacked another inmate and was found biting his own arm and spitting blood, according to incident reports and an arrest warrant.

A deputy was forced to use a Taser to stun Browning, who was later taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for observation. Browning had been scheduled to make his first court appearance Wednesday morning, but it was postponed until today. Browning has been charged with murder for allegedly shooting and killing Trinh Huynh on Peachtree Street around 7:40 a.m. Monday. Huynh, 40, was an attorney for UPS and very involved with the Atlanta legal community.

After being booked into the Fulton jail Tuesday evening, Browning allegedly punched another inmate four times in the face and ignored commands to stop, according to the sheriff ’s office. He was charged with simple battery after the incident.

A deputy also reported that Browning was found biting his left arm and spitting blood out of his mouth. Browning was again stunned with a Taser and handcuffed, incident reports said.

Atlanta police have not released a possible motive in the shooting, but have said Huynh was likely targeted. It’s not known whether she knew her assailant.

Surveillance cameras captured video of the alleged gunman, and late Monday a man matching the description was pulled over by a Cobb County officer after running a red light, according to police. The man, identified as Browning, was wearing the same shorts and shoes as the suspect in the videos, police said. A sweatshirt seen in the videos and the suspected murder weapon were found in his car.

Browning was first taken to the Cobb jail Monday evening, but no problems were reported, according to the Cobb sheriff ’s office. On Tuesday, Browning was charged with Huynh’s death and moved to the Fulton jail.

Investigators believe Browning is also the suspect in a double stabbing Sunday. Browning was returned to jail from the hospital Wednesday evening. He is scheduled to make his first court appearance at 11 a.m. today at the jail.

The Georgia Asian Pacific American Bar Association will hold a candlelight vigil tonight to honor Huynh. The vigil is planned for 7:30 p.m. at 999 Peachtree Street.
