Things to know about going to SunTrust Park,

-

Now that the Braves are settled into their new Cobb County home, you may be up for a visit. Here’s what you should know before you go to SunTrust Park for the first time. Getting there

By car: SunTrust Park (1100 Circle 75 Parkway SE, Atlanta, 30330) is in the Cumberland area just west of the junction of I-75 and I-285. The Braves suggest drivers use the Waze traffic app, which accounts for driving conditions, to guide their trips.

How and where to park: There are about 14,000 parking spots at SunTrust, with some lots designated for season ticket holders and others for public parking. The Braves recommend buying a parking pass online ahead of time. Some of the public parking lots allow you to pay on-site with a credit card (not cash), while others are prepaid parking only.

Ride-sharing services: The Braves say a recently announced partnership with Uber will help make the pick-up and drop-off experience more efficient at the stadium. That includes a reserved Uber lot. Other ride-sharing services, including Lyft, will not have access to the lot.

What you can and can’t bring

Fans should make sure they aren’t carrying any prohibited items. Braves security staff may require you to return items to your car or throw them away before entering SunTrust Park.

Prohibited items include alcoholic beverages, large bags, ice chests and drones.

The Braves have confirmed outside food will be allowed into SunTrust Park so long as it fits in a clear, gallon-size container. One bag of food and one sealed bottle of water will be allowed per ticket.

You’re not allowed to bring the following items into SunTrust Park:

alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs;

aluminum cans, glass bottles, bota bags or wineskins;

bags, purses or backpacks exceeding 16-by-16-by-8 inches;
