Confuse your taste buds

At Three Sheets in Sandy Springs, guests will be able to spend an evening trying foods while flavor tripping. Unlike a normal tasting, this tasting will include a berry called Miracle Fruit that confuses taste buds and creates new flavors. The fruit is supposed to change the acidic properties in food and make them sweet. Some highlights of the flavor tripping party include goat cheese that will taste like cheesecake, lemons turning into lemonade, and Guinness with lemon sorbet that will taste like a chocolate milkshake after eating the Miracle Fruit. Each flavor tripping party is limited to 20 guests, so reservations are required.

Celebrate National Orange Juice Day with frozen pops

All-natural frozen treats company King of Pops is teaming up with Natalie’s Orchid Island Juice Company to create exclusive pops for National Orange Juice Day on May 4. The series of limited edition flavors will include Orange Beet, Blood Orange, Orange Mango Lassi, and Orange Pineapple Banana. The pops are available only at select King of Pops locations.

Celebrate Alon’s Bakery and Market’s 25th anniversary

For the past 25 years, owner and executive chef Alon Balshan has been creating high-quality baked goods and gourmet cuisine at the European-style eatery in Morningside and Dunwoody. To celebrate this sweet milestone, Alon’s will host an anniversary celebration at the Morningside location that is free and open to the public. Live entertainment from Tony Levitas and the Levitations, walkup food stands and a gelato and cookie jar bar will create a block party-style atmosphere for the event.

Get a taste of Georgia beer, cider and wine

This beer fest features breweries exclusively from Georgia. The Tap Into Georgia Beer Festival was created to celebrate Georgiabased breweries. The event includes well-known breweries, such as SweetWater Brewing Co. and Creature Comforts, and smaller, harder-to-find craft brewers. With over 25 breweries participating, the event will have something for everyone.

Take a trip through Italy with this wine tasting

At Bellina Alimentari, explore Italy through five different Italian wines at the I Love Vino event. Wine Concierge Kelly of Cork in the Road will take the class on a tour of five unique native Italian varietals made with a zero intervention natural approach, which means that “there was limited or no use of chemicals in the vineyard and a minimum or no use of additives and technological manipulations in the cellar.” Each wine selection will be paired with a bite from Bellina Alimentari’s kitchen. Seating is limited and reservations are recommended.
