Artists sought for juried show at October festival

The Sugar Hill Arts Commission is seeking artwork for a juried show that will run in conjunctio­n with the city’s annual Sugar Rush festival in October. Winning art will be exhibited in the Sugar Hill Gallery on the first floor of City Hall, 5039 West Broad St.

Best in Show will receive $1,000, second place — $500, third place $250. Artists interested in competing may enter up to three original pieces free. There is a $35 entrance fee for selected artists. Deadline for entries is July 15. Artists will be notified July 31. Artwork must be available for exhibit the week of Oct 16.
