Where can I find it?

I read and enjoy your column every Sunday. Hopefully, you are able to help me, too. I’ve been using Cover Girl Clear Sensitive Skin pressed powder, color 230 classic beige, for many years. I’ve been told that this product is no longer available. I’m looking for a replacement pressed powder for sensitive skin with no luck. If you can find one for me I’d be most grateful. Thank you. Madeline Litt, email

Thanks for reading, Madeline. Your discontinued Cover Girl Clear pressed powder pops up occasionally on eBay, and there are a couple compacts available on another website that I’ve tried to reach by phone off and on for a couple of weeks, without any luck, so I’m hesitant to recommend it to you. However, I contacted Cover Girl and was told that Cover Girl Clean pressed powder might be worth a try as a substitute. You can find several shades for $6.99 each at Ulta, 3495 Buckhead Loop, Atlanta, 404-266-3559. Where can I find individual packets of instant coffee with creamer and sugar? The one I’m looking for is called White Rich, and it comes in long, skinny packets that make a single cup by adding hot water. These are so convenient for traveling. Thank you. B. Coleman, email

I found Cafebene White Rich instant coffee in individually wrapped sticks at Super H Mart, 6035 Peachtree Road, Doraville, 770-986-2300. A box of 20 sticks costs $4.79. You’ll find the box of 20 on the top shelf in the coffee section. But, look on the bottom, next to the Cafe du Monde, and you’ll find boxes of 100 sticks for $16.99. I have been trying for months to find Major Grey chutney, and have been unsuccessful, and I am wondering if it’s no longer made. I have found other chutneys, but not Major Grey. I would appreciate it greatly if you could possibly find a source for me. Thanks. Bob Turner

Well, that was interesting, Bob. I called British and Indian stores without any luck. However, I found two brands of Major Grey chutney for you — in the same store — different aisles, though. Check out Kroger, 1700 Monroe Drive, Atlanta, 404-872-0782. You’ll find Crosse and Blackwell Major Grey chutney — a combination that includes vinegar, raisins, lime and tamarind juices and onion powder, $2.69 for a 9-ounce jar. The store also stocks Patak’s Major Grey chutney, which combines sugar, mango, ginger, garlic and ginger oil. A 12-ounce jar sells for $4.29. I heard that there’s a line of pancake mixes by Denny’s restaurant available, but I haven’t found it. There’s supposed to be a peanut butter flavor that I think my grand kids would love. If you can find it for me around the Decatur area, I’d like to give it a try. Thanks. Ella Jackson, email

Denny’s brand pancake mix currently comes in three flavors: peanut butter cup, cinnamon roll and double caramel. Mix them with eggs, water or buttermilk, then add the included toppings. For instance, the peanut butter cup mix includes mini white and dark chocolate chips, and hot fudge and peanut butter sauces get drizzled on at the end. They’re available for $3.98 at Wal-Mart, 2525 N. Decatur Road, Decatur, 404-464-4480.
