Veterans Parkway project approved
Fayette County has approved a bid to complete the next phase of the Veterans Parkway Roadway Project. The Board of Commissioners voted 5-0 on May 25 to accept an $895,000 bid from Southeastern Site Development Inc., to connect the parkway to Ga. Hwy. 92 at Westbridge Road.
Carlos Christian, head of Fayette’s Building Grounds & Maintenance, told the commissioners that the plans minimize costs and the impact on affected property owners. Construction will take approximately nine months to complete.
