Buyer’s Edge Where can I find it?

- By Sabine Morrow For the AJC

I have a 2013 Kia Sorento, and the only concern is road noise. In years past, we could undercoat a vehicle to address this issue, unfortunately I have been unable to find a vendor who could do this. Do you know of any business in the region that still performs this function? Thank you. Ronald E Watkins, Stone Mountain

Ronald, I spoke to someone in the service department at Nalley Kia, 7849 Mall Pkwy., Lithonia, 678-374-3820, and was told that you can get the rubberized undercoating applied at the shop for about $135. However, I was also informed that the undercoating is more often applied to prevent rust more so than road noise, and if you’re hearing more noise than you think you should, then there might be another issue. I love Dr. Bronner’s liquid soap, but my favorite is the rose, which I have a hard time finding. If possible, I’d like to buy the large size, so that I don’t have to worry about running out. I won’t order online. Can you find this somewhere in the Atlanta area? I’m willing to drive a ways if I have to. Thank you for your help. Mrs. Burton, Roswell

Dr. Bronner’s pure castile liquid soap, rose scented, is available in three sizes — 8, 16 and 32 ounces — at Amy’s Natural Foods, 10591 Old Alabama Road Connector, Alpharetta, 770-998-9500. The 32-ounce size you’re seeking costs $13.89.

When my great grandkids visit, I like to play games with them and try to add things to educate them with fun. We’re working on counting money, and I would like to know if you can find a toy coin counter for me. I’m looking for the kind like carnival workers wore around their waist and dispensed change. I don’t want metal ones. Do they have some for kids? I think they would have fun learning about coins with one of those. Thank you. Martha Smith, Atlanta Martha, what a terrific idea. I found red-and-blue plastic coin changers made for children ages 5 and up. Each changer costs $6.93, and you’ll find them at Richard’s Variety store, 931 Monroe Drive, 404-879-9877. The dispenser features a slot for quarters, dimes, nickels and pennies.

I can’t find Clear Scalp and Therapy Ultra Shea conditioner anymore. I think it’s been discontinued, but wondered if you knew of any place to still get it. Or did the company replace it with something else? Thank you. S. Morse, Ball Ground

You’re right, the conditioner was discontinued last year according to a representative I spoke with at Unilever, the company that owns the Clear hair care line. For now, you can still get some Clear Scalp and Hair Therapy Ultra Shea conditioner through Amazon.com, but it comes in a 3-ounce size. A pack of three costs $5.99.
