Friese signs with Brewers

Kennesaw State righthanded pitcher Gabe Friese, who went unselected in last week’s MLB draft, signed as a free agent with the Milwaukee Brewers on Sunday.

Friese, a product of Marietta High, was an Atlantic Sun Conference second-team selection who finished his career with a 16-11 overall record and a 3.83 ERA in 62 appearances. He is fourth in KSU’s all-time strikeouts standings (192) and is No. 1 among pitchers in innings pitched (267⅔) and starts (39).
