» Ann Coulter feuds with Delta over seat change,

Pundit irate about being moved from pre-booked seat.

Conservati­ve pundit Ann Coulter unleashed a tweetstorm against Delta Air Lines on Saturday night, complainin­g about being moved out of a seat with extra legroom that she prebooked.

In one tweet, Coulter wrote: “Just when you think it’s safe to fly them again, the worst airline in America is STILL: @Delta.”

Delta responded with an apology for the seat change, but also castigated Coulter for insulting passengers and employees with “unnecessar­y and unacceptab­le comments.”

Coulter had booked a preferred seat in the exit row with extra legroom and was moved to a different seat in the same exit row, according to Delta.

The airline moved Coulter from an aisle seat in the exit row to a window seat in the same exit row on the other side of the aisle, according to Delta.

Delta said late Sunday it “inadverten­tly” moved Coulter to a window seat “when working to accommodat­e several passengers with seating requests.”

The airline said it is sorry she “did not receive the seat she reserved and paid for,” and would refund the $30 extra Coulter paid for the preferred seat on the flight from New York’s LaGuardia Airport to West Palm Beach on Saturday.

Coulter also posted a photo of the passenger she said was given her seat, tweeting “@Delta didn’t give my extra room seat to an air marshall [sic] or tall person. Here’s the woman given my PRE-BOOKED seat,” with a photo showing a row of unsmiling passengers having their picture taken.

Coulter later tweeted: “Hey @Delta, if it was so important for the dachshund-legged woman to take my seat, she should have BOOKED THE SEAT IN ADVANCE. Like I did.”

Another tweet included a photo of a flight attendant on the flight, along with a tweet reading: “‘Why are you taking me out of the extra room seat I specifical­ly booked, @Delta?’ Flight attendant: ‘I don’t know.’”

In a statement Sunday, Delta said Coulter’s responses went too far.

“We are disappoint­ed that the customer has chosen to publicly attack our employees and other customers by posting derogatory and slanderous comments and photos in social media,” the statement said.

“Delta expects mutual civility throughout the entire travel experience,” the airline said.
