City authority OKs cost-sharing for design

Jonesboro’s Downtown Devel- opment Authority recen t ly approved a motion to enter into a cost-sharing agreement with the city to fund 50 percent, or $2,500, for the preparatio­n of design guidelines from TSW, a company of planners, architects and landscape architects.

TSW was involved in the Blueprint Jonesboro master plan, with a focus on bringing new restaurant­s and businesses, and making downtown more walkable, among other features.

The Downtown Developmen­t Authority also approved ordering four large urban vase planters and 12 standard urban vase planters for the downtown district.
