FRIDAY Retro Futura

It’s a ’80s-centric tour that stars Howard Jones, Men Without Hats, the English Beat, Katrina and the Waves and Modern English. If you can’t name at least 10 hits among these bands, maybe this isn’t the show for you. Everyone else – time to break out the lace gloves and fedoras!

7 p.m. July 28. $29.50$99.50. Chastain Park Amphitheatre, 4469 Stella Drive NW, Atlanta. 1-800745-3000, ticketmaster.com

SATURDAY Shawn Mendes

It’s almost impossible to believe that the wellcoiffed Canadian singersongwriter will turn just 19 on Aug. 8. He’s already opened for Taylor Swift, and he’s headlining his third tour, although this is his first time headlining arenas worldwide. (Mendes played an energetic show in Atlanta last summer at the Fox Theatre.) Joining the hitmaker behind “Stitches” and “Treat You Better” is song craftsman Charlie Puth, whose “See You Again” recently became YouTube’s most-watched video. A recent Billboard concert review described Puth as, like Mendes, “an old-school musician who creates earnest pop tunes with a message.”

With Charlie Puth. 7:30 p.m. July 29. $47.50-$67.50. Infinite Energy Arena, 6400 Sugarloaf Parkway, Duluth. 770-626-2464, infiniteenergycenter.com

SUNDAY Logic

The Maryland rapper impressed mightily with his set at last year’s Music Midtown, during which he stressed his message of “peace, love and positivity.” The 27-year-old also defied millennial habits by asking the crowd to put down their phones and “live in the moment.” We heart you, Logic. In May, he released his third studio album, “Everybody,” which features an eclectic gathering of guests including Neil deGrasse Tyson, Alessia Cara and Atlanta’s Killer Mike.

With Joey BadA$$ and Big Lenbo. 8 p.m. July 30. $59.50-$105. Coca-Cola Roxy Theatre, 800 Battery Ave. SE, Atlanta. 1-800-7453000, livenation.com TUESDAY 2 Chainz

Atlanta’s ubiquitous good-time rapper performed at the BET Experience Weekend in Los Angeles last month, but the real kickoff of his 35-date “Pretty Girls Like Trap Music” tour, which is named after his new album, will take place in his hometown – you know, the one that hosted the infamous pink Trap House to promote the album’s release. In concert, he will be joined by the Trap

Choir – and likely many surprise guests.

With Young Dolph. 8 p.m. Aug. 1. Sold out. Tabernacle, 152 Luckie St., Atlanta. 1-800745-3000, livenation.com WEDNESDAY Nickelback

The band that so many love to hate, yet they still fill amphitheaters every time they hit the road, as they are on this 44-date “Feed the Machine” tour. Nickelback also keeps venue concessionaires busy with beer sales – the perfect accompaniment to their friendly guitar singalongs “How You Remind Me,” “Someday,” “Photograph” and “This Afternoon,” all coated with a dose of Chad Kroeger’s guttural voice. The band recently released its ninth album (also called “Feed the Machine”) and is sharing this tour with fellow innocuous rocker Daughtry.

With Daughtry and Shaman’s Harvest. 6 p.m. Aug. 2. $25-$89.50. Verizon Amphitheatre at Encore Park, 2200 Encore Parkway, Alpharetta. 1-800-7453000, ticketmaster.com

THURSDAY Bryson Tiller

The May release of Tiller’s sophomore album, “True to Self,” marked his first No. 1 debut on the Billboard 200 album chart. He also claimed the top spots on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums, R&B Albums and Digital Albums charts proving that there was obvious demand to this 2015 album, “TRAPSOUL.” His tour, dubbed “Set It Off,” will kick off in Atlanta and make more than 25 stops around the country before he heads overseas this fall.

With Metro Boomin and H.E.R. 7:30 p.m. Aug. 3. $53.70-$75.60. Fox Theatre, 660 Peachtree St. NE, Atlanta. 1-855-285-8499, foxtheatre.org
