British Open runner-up Matt Kuchar rallied to make the cut Friday in the Canadian Open, shooting a 4-under 68 that left him seven strokes behind second-round leader Martin Flores at Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario.

Flores shot his second straight 6-under 66. He eagled the par-5 second hole for the second day in a row.

Kuchar had a couple of dizzy spells and sought medical attention during Thursday’s round, in which he shot 71 with a double bogey and bogey on his second nine. He made the cut by two strokes.

Gary Woodland (63), Matt Every (68) and Brandon Hagy (68) were a stroke behind Flores at 11 under.

Top-ranked Dustin Johnson shot 69 to reach 8 under.

Senior British Open: Bernhard Langer struggled to a 3-over-par 74 in rain and wind at Royal Porthcawl and fell into a share of the lead after two rounds at Bridgend, Wales.

Langer totaled 1-over 143 and tied Americans Tom Lehman (72), Steve Flesch (71) and Billy Mayfair (72) and Argentina’s Mauricio Molina (73).

The average score of 78.515 was second only in tournament history to the 80.118 in 2005 in the first round at Royal Aberdeen. The cut came at 13 over.

Langer, 59, who’s seeking his third senior major title of the year, said he has been ill this week and won’t practice, “but that doesn’t mean I can’t play good this weekend, and I’ll give it my best shot.”

Flesch, 50, closed with two bogeys after playing the first 16 holes in 2 under with 14 pars and two birdies.

Ladies Scottish Open: Cristie Kerr birdied three of the last six holes in strong wind at Dundonald Links for a 1-over 73 and a one-stroke lead over Karrie Webb after two rounds in Irvine, Scotland. Kerr had a 5-under 139 total despite playing the first 11 holes Friday at 4 over par. Webb, a stroke ahead of Kerr after a first-round 65, shot 75 with a double bogey and four bogeys.

European Open: Ashley Chesters shot 5-under 67 to take the lead at 9 under before darkness halted play in the second round at Hamburg, Germany. Siddikur Rahman shot 66 and was one stroke behind along with several others who did not finish their rounds.
