Where can I find it?

- By Sabine Morrow

Wisk laundry detergent was here one day and gone the next. Did they go out of business? Thanks. Danny Dunworth, Stone Mountain

Danny, while Wisk has been around since 1956, the detergent — of “ring around the collar” fame — has been replaced. You can still find some Wisk on eBay, but I’m not sure you want to spend $30 of a jug of laundry detergent. The last company that produced Wisk was Sun Products. However, last year, Henkel, a German company, acquired Sun, and gave Wisk the heaveho in favor if its premium European detergent — Persil. By the way, a while back, Persil ProClean Power-Liquid 2-in-1 was ranked as the best-performing detergent in the U.S., knocking Tide out of the top position for the first time in ages. Today, though, Tide and Persil are neck and neck as the best detergents, according to Consumer Reports magazine.

I am trying to find a gelatin called Simply Delish. The flavor I want is peach. I’m not interested in other brands. Thanks for your help. Karen Smith, email

Karen, I found a few flavors of Simply Delish natural gelatin, including peach. You’ll find them for $1.99 each at DeKalb Farmers Market, 300 E. Ponce de Leon Ave., Decatur, 404-377-6400.

My favorite soda is Shasta Twist in the can, and it’s impossible to find around here. I’d appreciate any help you could offer. Thank you. Jim Jackson, Atlanta

Shasta Twist is a caffeine-free lemon-lime soda, and the good news, Phil, is that it is available in Atlanta. You’ll find it at most Dollar Tree stores, including the one located at Cambridge Square Plaza, 2036 Johnson Ferry Road, Atlanta, 770-458-9397. A pack of four 12-ounce cans costs $1.

I am trying to find a product locally, near Alpharetta, without any luck. I hope you can help me. It is a gel moisturizer called Boscia black hydration. Thank you. Liv Martin, email

This lightweight moisturizer contains activated charcoal formulated to absorb impurities and excess oil as it detoxifies, according to Boscia. The moisturizer is good for all skin types and it’s made without parabens, sulfates and phthalates. Free of preservatives, artificial fragrance and color, a 1.7 ounce bottle of Boscia revitalizing black hydration gel sells for $40 at Sephora, 1000 North Point Circle, Alpharetta, 770-475-4878.
