Could you help me locate sugarfree dark chocolate almond bark? I bought some in Vermont while on vacation and I figured, incorrectly, that it would be sold everywhere, but I’m having trouble finding it. Thanks. Denny Hajek, email
While there are a few sugar-free dark chocolate bars with almonds available, as you’ve noticed, bark is more difficult to find. Most chocolate shops I checked with didn’t have any, but I did find some for you, and it’s made locally. Check out di Amano Chocolate, 1100 Hammond Drive, Atlanta, 770-7309770. The shop, which turns out a variety of handmade and custom chocolates, is locally owned. Along with sugar-free dark chocolate bark studded with roasted almonds, di Amano also offers a sugar-free version crowded with a combination of cashews, pistachios and almonds. The bark sells for $38 per pound, but an average piece will cost around $2.
Lately, I have been unable to find sugar-free Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups in several stores in my area. One piece gives me just the right amount of something sweet after lunch. Thank you. Terri Spiegel, Roswell
Terri, I found sugar-free Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups for $2.97 per 3-ounce bags at CVS, 184 N. Main St., Alpharetta, 678-297-410-1755. Although they’re available at select CVS stores, the customer service rep I spoke with told me that his store doesn’t stock a lot at one time, so you might want to grab a few bags.
When I was in junior high, my friends and I loved a shampoo called Lemon Up. It would make my hair smell lemony and leave it so squeaky clean. I’ve never found a shampoo that I liked as well. I know it hasn’t been around for decades, but do you think you can find a similar product for me? Most of the citrus shampoos I’ve tried don’t really have a true lemon scent. Thanks for your help. C. I have great news for you. Lemon Up shampoo is back thanks to the Vermont Country Store. Not only is the nostalgic shampoo available, so is the conditioner. Both still come in the eyepopping yellow bottle with the plastic lemon top. A 13.5-ounce of either Lemon Up shampoo or conditioner costs $14.95. According to the reviews, the shampoo is as lemony as ever. You can order online through vermont country store or by calling 800-547-7849.
My grandfather lives near Jasper, and he doesn’t drive much. He asked me to find him a Styrofoam cover for his outside faucet to replace the one he’s been using during cold weather. The label says Duck. Can you tell me where I can find this for him? I live in Atlanta. Thank you. Karen Garcia, email
