Q: Where was Suzy the tiger born? Where all did she live? Where was she going to? —Al Cooper, Atlanta

A: Suzy was born in England and raised by Alexander Lacey and his family, who have raised multiple generation­s of large cats over many years, Stephen Payne, a spokesman for Feld Entertainm­ent, which was transporti­ng the tigers, told Q&A on the News. Most recently Suzy was living in Tampa, Fla.

Suzy, a 6-year-old Bengal tiger, was shot and killed in Henry County Wednesday after attacking a dog, the AJC previously reported. She escaped when a truck transporti­ng 14 tigers stopped in Georgia en route to a Tennessee airport where they would fly to Germany, according to informatio­n from the Georgia Department of Natural Resources and Feld Entertainm­ent.

Q: When TV news crews cover disaster areas, such as the situation in Houston, where do they stay? And how do they power their equipment to broadcast? —John Duskin, West Point

A: News crews typically try to find hotels when traveling to disaster areas, however closings during severe weather situations often require them to stay in RVs, rented tour buses or even friends’ homes, according to a spokespers­on for FOX News.

The spokespers­on told Q&A on the News that these teams power their equipment with generators, as well as with electricit­y from the organizati­on’s SUVs and satellite trucks.
