Favorite outdoor elements: The wraparound porch with three seating areas and room for a casino craps table, and the backyard“doll house .” The playhouse was there when the Breslins bought the land from their neighbors, who built the playhouse for their own children. Kate and Dave gave it a fresh coat of paint, and their neighbors spruced up the house’s original bench for Avery and Jane.

Their daughters chose new trim, from Lewis & Sheron Textiles, to freshen up linen panels that are now in their bedrooms.“I’ve put a lot of thought and care into the things I selected for my home and when I moved from one house to another there were things I still loved,” said Kate. “So it was very important to me to find ways to make them work in my new house.”
