Actress Roma Downey (“Touched By An Angel”) and her husband, Mark Burnett, producer of reality shows including “The Voice,” “Shark Tank” and “Survivor,” have launched a new online destination featuring inspirational content.

LightWorkers.com offers uplifting stories designed to motivate people to “celebrate and share the good all around them.”

The original content developed for the site includes a series starring Atlanta-based Mo Isom, the former LSU women’s soccer player who was also the first woman to try out for an SEC Division I men’s football team.

Last year, Isom wrote “Wreck My Life,” (Baker Books, $15) about overcoming her personal struggles with an eating disorder, her father’s suicide and a horrific car accident, which all occurred in a small span of time.

Since moving to Atlanta in 2011, Isom has crafted a career as a blogger and inspirational speaker. As a new mom, she shares the craziness of her latest life transition in a series for Lightworkers.com titled “Welcome to Adulting.”

The two-minute videos feature Isom discussing how to stay positive in the midst of life’s craziness and challenges viewers to remember that hardships can in fact be heavenly.

LightWorkers Media is a joint venture with MGM which launched in September. The California-based team of about 25 staffers has been working for more than a year to stock the website with feel-good stories that offer the public an alternative to the dramatic ups and downs of the daily news cycle.

“I want to build a community of hope, to get people in that strong place where we can help each other,” said Downey in an interview with Variety. “In that sense of belonging we are reminded that we are a community. Today more than ever that’s so important.”
