County approves almost 400 residentia­l units

The Cobb County Board of Commission­ers agreed unanimousl­y Oct. 16 to approve four residentia­l projects of 392 units.

A maximum of 316 townhomes and condominiu­ms will be built at the southeast corner of Cumberland Parkway and Paces Walk with Ashton Atlanta Residentia­l as the owner.

No more than 10 percent of these units may be rented at any given time, subject to oversight by the homeowners’ associatio­n.

Also, no decks or patios may be added to the front of these units.

Constructi­on hours will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays to Fridays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays and none on Sundays unless preapprove­d by the district commission­er.

The other projects:

■ A single-family subdivisio­n of 46 residences on nearly 29 acres on the west side of County Line Road, south of Burnt Hickory Road by Century Communitie­s of Georgia as the applicant. The owners are Webb-Wootten Enterprise­s, LLP; Cassandra B. Wootten; Thomas D. Wootten; BonnieE. Webb and Paul Yarbrough.

■ A single-family subdivisio­n of four houses on nearly three acres on the west side of Harris Road, south of Smyrna Powder Springs Road. The applicant is Hernan G. Guerrero with Allison H. Price and Jeanette S. Price as the owners.

■ A single-family subdivisio­n of 26 residences on just over 14 acres at 300 and 320 Cooper Lake Road near Smyrna by applicant Cooper Lake Hills. CAROLYN CUNNINGHAM FOR THE AJC
