Food waste presentation: Guest speaker Joe Labriola, executive director of Second Helpings, an organization that addresses the problem of food waste, and Colleen Casey and Julia Reddish, parishioners at St. Anne’s Episcopal Church, will share ideas on how to help others by redistributing food to individuals who are poor or displaced. Stage play: Do everyday actions determine one’s hereafter? That question will be addressed during the 87thyear performance of “Heaven Bound,” an African-American folk drama filled with hymns, spirituals and the dramatic storytelling of pilgrims on a journey to heaven. Friendship luncheon: John Grant, executive director of ESPN’s Celebration Bowl and Bill Nordmark, executive vice president and chief commercial officer at Aver Inc. are the founders of the Atlanta Friendship Initiative, an initiative designed to encourage friendship among people of different races, religions and political preference. They will be in conversation during a celebratory uncommon friendships luncheon moderated by Soumaya Khalifa of the Islamic Speakers Bureau.
