Adopt-a-Senior for Christmas

Imagine if you were a senior citizen in a nursing home and no friends or relatives ever came to visit you — not even for holidays. Neighbor Love wants to brighten the day of a whole bunch of valuable seniors with its Adopt-a-Senior for Christmas program. Neighbor Love is hosting a Christmas party and giving gift bags to seniors at six nursing homes in metro Atlanta. The goal is to bless a total of 850 seniors with gift bags this Christmas at six nursing homes. Volunteers are needed to assemble gift bags and pass them out. The schedule of events is as follows:

■ Saturday, Dec. 2

Scepter Health and Rehab, 3000 Lenora Church Dr., Snellville

Gift bag assembly: 2-2:45 p.m. Party: 2:30-5 p.m.

Goal: 150 gift bags

■ Sunday, Dec. 3

A.G. Rhodes Health & Rehab. 1819 Clifton Road, Atlanta

Gift bag assembly: 2-2:45 p.m. Party: 2:30-5 p.m.

Goal: 100 Gift Bags

■ Saturday, Dec. 9

Roswell Nursing and Rehab. 1109 Green St., Roswell

Giftbag assembly: 8:30-9:30 a.m. Party: 9:30 a.m. - noon Goal: 200 gift bags

■ Saturday, Dec. 9

Ross Memorial Healthcare 1780 Old 41 Hwy NW, Kennesaw

Giftbag assembly: 2-2:45 p.m. Party: 2:30-5 p.m.

Goal: 100 gift bags

■ Sunday, Dec. 10 Dunwoody Health and Rehabilita­tion Center, 5470 Meridian Mark Rd, Atlanta

Gift bag assembly: 2-2:45 p.m. Party: 2:30-5 p.m.

Goal: 150 gift bags
