Then huddle by the outside fireplace next to the pavilion to roast marshmallows, drink mulled cider and make a candy cane ornament.

■ Archibald Smith Plantation, 935 Alpharetta St., Roswell: Enjoy hot spiced cider, gingerbread cookies, Christmas carols, unique ornaments and a Christmas craft.
