As the birthday of one of the country’s most revered civil rights leaders approaches, many Atlanta organizati­ons are hosting special events to salute Martin Luther King Jr.’s contributi­ons to history and the powerful legacy of civil rights, activism and unity he left behind. Leading up to his birthday celebratio­n Monday, there are many ways to honor his legacy through programs, services and events in metro Atlanta.
