SCAD’s aTVFest kicks off three-day event Feb. 1

Alan Cumming and Zach Braff to be honored at festival.

This year’s SCAD aTVFest, its sixth, will honor actors Alan Cumming (“The Good Wife”) and Zach Braff (“Scrubs”) and feature casts and producers from shows such as Showtime’s “The Chi,” the CW’s “Black Lightning” and FX’s “Archer.”

It’s being held from Thursday, Feb. 1 through Saturday, Feb. 3 in several SCAD locations around Atlanta. Tickets for the public will be available beginning today at tickets.scadshow.com. Tickets range from a $25 for a single event to a three-day pass for $200 or a platinum VIP pass for $300.

There are plenty of workshops and panels on subjects, such as “The Evolution of Content Developmen­t,” “From the Director’s Chair,” “In Conversati­on: Marta Kauffman,” “Inside the Writer’s Room” and “Wonder Women: Acting in TV.”

Shows and representa­tives attending this year’s festival include mostly new or upcoming shows, though “Archer” and “UnREAL” are included. The screenings feature a variety of networks, from broadcast (ABC, NBC, CBS) to regular cable (FX, TBS, Lifetime, USA) to subscripti­on cable (HBO, Starz) to streaming (Amazon, CBS All Access). Netflix, where are you?

■ “Alex Inc.” (ABC) with Braff (actor/director/executive producer) and Matt Tarses (writer/executive producer). This has quirky Braff written all over it.

■ “A.P. Bio” (NBC) with Glenn Howerton (actor), Mike O’Brien (writer) and Patton Oswalt (actor). This one looks promising based on the sneak peek from NBC.

■ “Archer” (FX) with Matt Thompson (executive producer), Casey Willis (producer), Amber Nash (actor) and Lucky Yates (actor)

■ “Ash vs. Evil Dead” (Starz) with Bruce Campbell (actor/executive producer), Ray Santiago (actor), Dana DeLorenzo (actor), Arielle Carver-O’Neill (actor) and Lindsay Farris (actor)

■ “Black Lightning” (CW) with Cress Williams (actor), Christine Adams (actor), Nafessa Adams (actor), China Anne McClain (actor), Marvin “Krondon” Jones III (actor), Damon Gupton (actor) and James Remar (actor)

■ “The Chi” (Showtime) with Jacob Latimore (actor), Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine (actor), Yolonda Ross (actor), Armando Riesco (actor) and Tiffany Boone (actor)

■ “Crashing” (HBO) with Pete Holmes (creator/star), Jamie Lee (comic/actor), Jermaine Fowler (comic/actor) and Oren Brimer (supervisin­g producer) This is Judd Apatow approved, so that’s a good sign.

■ “Dynasty” (CW) with Sallie Patrick (showrunner/ executive producer), Meredith Markworth-Pollack (costume designer), Grant Show (actor), Elizabeth Gillies (actor) and Sam Adegoke (actor)

■ “Final Space” (TBS) with Olan Rogers (creator/ executive producer/actor), Coty Galloway (actor), Rosa Tran (supervisin­g producer) and Devin “DVO” Roth (art director) Conan O’Brien is an executive producer of this new animated series.

■ “Instinct” (CBS) with Alan Cumming (actor/executive producer), Bojana Novakovic (actor), Naveen Andrews (actor), Sharon Leal (actor) and Michael Rauch (executive producer) This is a police procedural and also features Whoopi Goldberg and “Lost” star Naveen Andrews.

■ “Mozart in the Jungle” (Amazon) with Will Graham (executive producer/director), Caroline Baron (executive producer) and Susan Coyne (writer/supervisin­g producer)

■ “No Activity” (CBS All Access) with Patrick Brammall (actor/executive producer), Tim Meadows (actor) and Trent O’Donnell (director/executive producer). This comedy series features Will Ferrell, J.K. Simmons and Jesse Plemons in recurring roles.

■ “The Tick” (Amazon) with Griffin Newman (actor) and Barry Josephson (executive producer)

■ “UnREAL” (Lifetime) with Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman (actor), Genevieve Buechner (actor), Stacy Rukeyser (showrunner/executive producer) and Sarah Gertrude Shapiro (co-creator/executive producer)

■ “Unsolved: The Murders of Tupac and the Notorious B.I.G.” (USA) with Marcc Rose (actor) and Wavyy Jonez (actor)
