Shaky Knees Music Festival announces daily lineup, singleday tickets

Shaky Knees Music Festival has announced its daily lineup, which means singleday tickets are also going on sale.

The three-day event, May 4-6 at Central Park in downtown Atlanta, will feature Jack White, David Byrne, Fleet Foxes, Courtney Barnett and Japandroid­s on opening night.

The starting lineup on May 5 is Queens of the Stone Age, The War on Drugs, Cake, Manchester Orchestra, Matt and Kim and The Distillers.

And May 6 brings The National, Tenacious D, Vance Joy, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats and Lord Huron to close the annual festival.

More than 60 bands will perform on four stages erected throughout the park.

Justin Timberlake adds second Atlanta show – in 2019

Justin Timberlake already has a May date inked at Infinite Energy Arena, but following his Super Bowl halftime performanc­e on Sunday, the “Man of the Woods” announced a new spate of shows – including an Atlanta return.

Timberlake will play Philips Arena at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 10. Yes, as in 2019.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Feb. 19. An American Express pre-sale for the Atlanta show runs from 10 a.m. Feb. 14 through 5 p.m. Feb. 18. Members of Timberlake’s Tennessee Kids Fan Club can participat­e in a pre-sale from 10 a.m. Feb. 14 through 5 p.m. Feb. 16 (visit https:// vip.justintimb­erlake.com/ for details).

Prices range from $53.50$254.

Tickets for Timberlake’s May 11 Duluth show are sold out.

Days before his Super Bowl appearance, Timberlake released his fourth album, “Man of the Woods,” which features the singles “Filthy,” “Supplies,” and “Say Something,” with Chris Stapleton.

Poison, Cheap Trick team up for summer tour

Break out the hairspray – Poison is returning to the road this summer.

The “Poison…Nothin’ But a Good Time 2018” tour finds the guitar-cranking rockers – the original foursome of Bret Michaels, Rikki Rockett, CC DeVille and Bobby Dall – sharing a bill with Cheap Trick and Pop Evil.

They’ll swing through Verizon Amphitheat­re on June 5. Tickets are $25-$99.50 and will go on sale at 11 a.m. Feb. 9 through wwwlivenat­ion.com and the venue box office.

Poison visited Atlanta last May for a blast of a show with Def Leppard and Tesla, while Cheap Trick hit Chastain with Foreigner and released one of the best Christmas albums of 2017.

Chicago, REO Speedwagon go on joint tour

REO Speedwagon and Chicago will trek across the country this summer, including a July 14 stop at Verizon Amphitheat­re.

Each band will play a full set, with Chicago performing its “Chicago II” album in its entirety, followed by what they jokingly call the “world’s longest encore.” REO Speedwagon will present its trove of hits, such as “Time for Me to Fly,” “Take it on the Run” and “Roll with the Changes.”

Tickets for the Atlanta show are $29.50-$99.50 and will go on sale at noon Feb. 9 at www.livenation.com and the venue box office.

Stephen Stills, Judy Collins return for encore performanc­e

Last August, Stephen Stills and Judy Collins brought their lifetime of friendship and music to a shared stage with a performanc­e at Atlanta Symphony Hall.

The duo will return there this summer – their 50th anniversar­y since meeting – with a show on June 13.

Last fall, the twosome released, “Everybody Knows,” their first collaborat­ive album.
