A longtime Midtown eatery is closing its doors next month.

One Midtown Kitchen will close at 559 Dutch Valley Road NE on March 4, according to a statement released by Concentrics Restaurants.

“In the spirit of being passionate pioneers in the restaurant and hospitality industry and always working to be at the forefront of trends, we are announcing that the ONE. midtown kitchen brand will be retiring on March 4, 2018, to allow us to focus on new and exciting concepts in Atlanta and across the country. We sincerely thank our patrons, the community and Atlanta for the support you’ve given ONE over the past 16 years. It’s been an incredible run. To bid ONE a proper farewell, we hope you will join us our final weeks for favorite menu items, throwbacks, fantastic cocktails and good cheer.”

One Midtown Kitchen, which opened in 2002, served New American cuisine with dishes including pan-seared scallops served with saffron and crab risotto and woodroasted chicken leg with smoked gouda grits, Brussels sprouts and roasted parsnip, as well as custom cocktails.

Matt Weinstein took over as executive chef in December 2016 after serving as coexecutive chef since 2015.

AJC food editor Ligaya Figueras gave the restaurant two stars when she reviewed it in January 2017.

“There’s certainly creativity happening in the kitchen right now as Weinstein and his team give a modern spin to recognizable dishes and aren’t afraid to call on global influences,” she wrote.

Concentrics owns several other restaurants in Atlanta including Two Urban Licks, Tap, Parish, Allora, Room and Molly B’s at MercedesBenz Stadium.
