Live owl programs, on the upper deck of the center’s lodge, will be presented by a Chattahooc­hee Nature Center naturalist followed by National Park ranger-guided night hikes in the forest. Roast marshmallo­ws around an open fire, listen to ranger stories and songs and learn about the wildlife of the Chattahooc­hee River National Recreation Area and their nocturnal habits. “Ranger recipe hot apple cider” and free Chattahooc­hee River Journals with wildlife lists and paw prints will be provided. ■ Olympic Exploratio­n: Homeschool Headquarte­rs. 1-3 p.m. Monday. Free. Hampton Park Library, 5345 Settingdow­n Road, Cumming. Go on a virtual field trip to PyeongChan­g, South Korea, the site of the 2018 Winter Olympics. Explore South Korean culture with a craft and a snack. Participat­e in a scavenger hunt to learn about countries that send teams to participat­e in the Olympic Games. Wacky Winter Olympics will complete the afternoon. With this new monthly series of programs for homeschool­ed families, the program location will rotate among the branches of the Forsyth County Public Library.
