Homeless Drive in Douglasville
Homeless Drive by Rideshare. 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily through March 17. Transportation Center, 8800 Dorrivs Road, Douglasville. Needed donations for hygiene items include deodorant, soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, shampoo, combs, hairbrushes and toilet paper. PADV Teen Summit in Decatur
Teen Summit by Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV). 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Free. Decatur High School, 310 N. McDonough St., Decatur.
PADV is Georgia’s first, largest and most experienced nonprofit working to end domestic violence.
Teen dating violence will be the topic to encourage teens to speak up about dating violence and help parents educate their adolescents about healthy relationships through hands-on activities, workshops and teen-led sessions.
Members of the Teens Against Dating Violence (TADV) advisory board will provide leadership at the summit with this year’s board comprised of nine high schoolers from the metro Atlanta area who each helped create sessions and workshops.
