Newnan restaurant rebounds

A Coweta County restaurant brought its failed score up to passing after being cited for several violations.

Los Mariachis VII in Newnan initially received a 63/U on its March 19 inspection. It was reinspected a day later to receive a 90/A.

During the March 19 evaluation the inspector observed

■ The hand wash sink blocked by table and other items making it inaccessible.

■ An open food stored in grill area, in reach in freezer and under food prep tables.

■An open box of chips beside a ladder with soil present on steps.

■ The dish machine not sanitizing dishes because the soap and sanitizer containers were empty.

■ Pots and noncommercial Lucite shoe boxes used as food storage containers.

■ Bleach stored by open container of flour in kitchen below prep table and chemicals stored in storage room beside food and single service items.

■ Food stored stored on the floor.
