Eight site in Gwinnett offer chance to cast an early ballot

County’s elections office, seven satellite locations available.

You don’t need to wait until May 22 to cast your ballot for Georgia’s primary elec- tions. In Gwinnett County, there are eight places where you can vote early.

The main location for early voting is the Gwinnett County Board of Voter Registrati­ons and Elections Office at 455 Grayson Highway in Law- renceville. Ballots can be cast from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays from April 30 to May 18.

Votes can also be cast from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on two Saturdays: May 5 and May 12. There is no early voting Sundays.

There will be early voting days at that Lawrencevi­lle office for any runoffs that may be held, but those dates have not yet been determined.

The county also has seven satellite voting locations. Satellite voting is another name for in-person absentee vot- ing. This option is available from Saturday, May 12, to Friday, May 18, at the following locations:

■ Dacula Park Activity Building

2735 Old Auburn Road Dacula, GA 30019

■ George Pierce Park Community Recreation Center 55 Buford Highway Suwanee, GA 30024

■ Lenora Park Activity Room

4515 Lenora Church Road Snellville, GA 30078

■ Lucky Shoals Park Community Recreation Center 4651 Britt Road Norcross, GA 30093

■ Mountain Park Activity Building

1063 Rockbridge Road Stone Mountain, GA 30087

■ Shorty Howell Park Community Recreation Center

2750 Pleasant Hill Road Duluth, GA 30096 Ballots can be cast at these locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Satellite voting will not be available for any runoff elections.
