Get your Cinco de Mayo fix at these metro Atlanta spots

Ready to fiesta forever (or at least for one day)? Plenty of restaurant­s and bars are offering food and drink specials and hosting parties to recognize Cinco de Mayo. All events are May 5 unless otherwise noted.

Jess LucasPark, Atlanta Airport District. Celebrate the holiday with Hapeville’s La Fiesta del Cinco from 11 a.m-5 p.m., featuring Mexican food, live music, a mechanical bull ride, D J and performanc­es from acts such as Mariachi Amigoz De Taylor Fuentes. Admission and parking are free.

The Cowfish. The burger-sushi fusion spot will offer its Skinny Gonzales margaritas, made with Espolon Tequila Blanco, Grand Marnier Raspberry Peach, lime and POM juice for half price ($6) all day.

Dixie Q. The barbecue restaurant is hosting a Cinco de Mayo Patio Party starting at 5 p.m. featuring margaritas and hard shell tacos stuffed with smoked meats and covered in spicy barbecue sauce as well as live music. The a la carte menu will offer tamales, tacos, tres leches cake and tequila-spiked cocktails.

Fox Bros. BBQ. The restaurant is teaming up with Cayman Jack for a Cinco de Mayo party from 5-9 p.m. or while supplies last featuring a free pairing of a Cayman Jack margarita and a Fox Bros. tostada made with smoked brisket chopped and tossed with tomato salsa, cheddar jack cheese and rolled in a flour tortilla, fried and served with a spicy sour cream.

Herradura Silver Tequila Cocchi Americano Aperitivo, grapefruit, cucumber and lime. Also look for a hat contest and raffle as well as a D J. Tickets are $25, with all proceeds going to the Sotherly Foundation, the nonprofit arm of Sotherly Hotels dedicated to helping wounded American veterans, and can be purchased here.

O-Ku Atlanta. Try a sushi-fied spin on Cinco de Mayo with frozen yuzu-ginger margaritas, $5 tequila shots and the new-to-the-menu and new ceviche tacos.

Westside Ironworks, 1085 Howell Mill Road NW A3, Atlanta. 404-500-2383, o-kusushiatl.com Solís Two Porsche Drive. The hotel is offering specials from 5-10 p.m. at its rooftop bar Overdrive Lounge, including crispy shrimp and tagine-spiced lamb tacos.

Superica. The Krog Street Market location of Ford Fry’s TexMex spot will serve up a Mexican street food menu featuring BBQ pork tacos, cheese quesadilla­s and chicharone­s on the patio, as well as buckets of Tecate beer, frozen cocktails and Tamarind agua fresca. A D J will be on hand from 9 p.m.-midnight.

The Buckhead location will offer a variety of grilled menu items on the patio, including $1 smoked chicken wings with pickle slaw. Tommy margaritas, blood orange margaritas and Tecate Lite will be available at the patio’s cash bar, with live music on the patio from 5–8 p.m. and a D J inside from 8–10 p.m.

Vino Venue. Celebrate a daylate at the Cork ’n Pork Festival from 3-5 p.m. May 6, featuring unlimited tastings of barbecue dishes, sauces and sides with a Latin flair in celebratio­n of Cinco de Mayo, plus nearly 100 barbecue-friendly wines and craft beers. Tickets are $69 per person.
